When you leave, you may claim back the 14% Value Added Tax (VAT) which was charged on all the goods you purchased in South Africa which you will be taking back with you.
We have set up VAT Refund Administrator (VRA) service points at various strategic tourism areas, such as hotels, shopping centres and airport departure terminals to facilitate your claims.
These will be run by the VRA group who have been mandated to administer this service by the South African Revenue Service.
